Introductory sewing class included!

Beginners are welcome to make your very own Cheongsam! It's outfitted with multiple options- so you can choose the type of sleeve, skirt/ pants combination that you want to sew up and make it your very own.

Variations include:

  • Sleeve: Normal, Puff, Flutter 
  • Skirt: Straight, Tulip, Flare

Now you can even make a coordinated family set with the following products:

  1. Menswear Mandarin Shirt
  2. Kidswear: Cheongsam
  3. Kidswear: Boys’ Mandarin Shirt

What You Will Learn

  • Assembly and construction of cheongsam
  • Working with bias tape for collar & neckline to create contrast
  • Inserting set-in sleeves and finishing seams

Important note

  • This class is suitable for beginners.
  • Sewing machines and tools are provided for physical class use. Fabrics and trims are not included.
  • Please submit your body measurements at least 7 DAYS BEFORE YOUR FIRST SESSION.
  • For ages 18 & above.

Things to Bring for Your First Lesson

  • 2.5 metres - 3 metres of Non-Stretch Cotton (min. 60" width fabric for flared skirt)
  • 24 inch of Concealed/Invisible Zipper
  • 2 - 3 of Chinese Frog Buttons
  • 1.5 metres of Single-Fold Cotton Bias Tape (12mm)
  • 0.5 metres of Light-Weight Interfacing
  • 0.5 metres of Medium-Weight Interfacing
  • 1 pair of Hook & Eye

Classes start on time, please arrive 5 minutes earlier if possible.
