4 session course total 12 hours

Draping is a technique in which designers work with fabric using a dress form or live model. Drapers hang and pin pieces together to develop desired styles, and then work in conjunction with flat patterning to expedite the development of paper patterns.

Draping is the oldest method of creating clothing. It is an art form in fabric, and allows us to experiment and quickly develop style-lines, proportion, fit, balance, and a visual understanding of how garments will eventually look on the body.

Unleash your visual creativity by beginning with a strong foundation in the principles of draping.
