Fashion Sewing 206 – Modern Baju Kurung (Series of 5)
If you’ve done some sewing but want to learn professional techniques, you are ready for this class. If you’re not familiar with the sewing machine, click here for our Fashion Sewing 101 class.
4 session workshop total 12hrs
Once a week (same time each week)
Learn the traditional baju kurung method with a modern twist. This class is taught by our wonderful Mrs Rosemelin makcik.
All sewing tools & domestic sewing machines provided. Fabric & zipper NOT included – Non-stretch cotton fabrics recommended.
For the first session, please bring a 9″ concealed zipper & 5 metres of fabric in total of non-stretch fabric (2.5m for the top and 2.5m for the skirt). Do get in touch for any clarifications.

Both the Pesak Gantung and the Asli feature a gusset for the top and side panels for comfort and style, and facing pieces to polish up the whole look. The skirt comes with a zipper, elasticized waistband and an overlap design, that’s both stylish and roomy for your needs.

Classes start on time, please arrive 5 mins early if possible.
This class is part of our 200 Fashion Sewing Series, designed for the beginning sewist who is ready to apply their new skills and techniques to making garments. It can also be a refresher class for basic techniques!
