Class Policies

Entry Ticket/ Booking Proof

When you come for your class, you are required to show the order confirmation that was emailed to you (in physical printout or digital form on your phone) before you can attend the class. If you are coming for a rescheduled class, please show the email from us confirming your rescheduled date & time.

 

Class Times

All classes start and end on time. Please arrive 5 minutes early if possible. If you are over an hour late, you will need to re-schedule as you will miss a significant portion of the class, and catching you up won’t be fair to the other students. We seek your understanding on this.

If you need more time than the allocated class time, some provisions may be given.

 

Payment Policy

Payment needs to made upon booking for your place in the class to be confirmed.

Payment Methods

1) Cash (at our studio: 258 South Bridge Rd, #02-00, Singapore 058807. Please email us after placing your order to inform us that you would like to pay cash. We will arrange a date for you to visit our studio and make payment).
2) Paypal
3) Bank Transfer/ Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

THE FOLLOWING CLASS POLICIES APPLY FOR FASHION MAKERSPACE CLASSES AND MAY NOT BE APPLICABLE FOR CLASSES CONDUCTED BY GUEST TRAINERS.

 

Rescheduling

Please inform us as soon as possible if you are not able to attend your booked class (email fashion.makerspace@gmail.com). Our rescheduling policy is (any exceptions are subject to approval) as such:

7 days or more: Rescheduling with no additional charges
Less than 6 days before workshop begins: Admin charges apply

Rescheduling is only allowed once. Any further rescheduling will be subject to forfeiture.

If you are not able to attend due to illness, please email us a Medical Certificate and we will allow you to do a complimentary make-up class.

 

Missing a Class

In the event that you do not attend the class without prior notice:

Fashion Sewing 101 & Alterations 101: Please email us and we will allow you to book a new date and time at a discounted rate.

Other classes (except Sewing & Patternmaking Courses): Please email us to schedule a make-up session. Make-up sessions may be subject to additional charges.

For Sewing & Patternmaking (Basic & Intermediate) Courses: If you missed one session in a series, you may be entitled to one complimentary make-up session of 2 hours – please check the description of the particular class you booked on our website. Afterwards, make-up sessions will be chargeable by the hour.

Please contact us as soon as possible to schedule a make-up session so that you will be able to catch up with the rest of the class.

 

Additional Classes

Please note that if you require more than the stipulated class time, there will be an additional $15 – 30hr (GST incl.) charge for a make-up session done on a separate day. Such classes are subjected to the trainers’ availabilities.

 

Refunds

Please inform us as soon as possible if you are not able to attend your booked class. If you would like a refund, our policy is:

7 days or more: Full workshop fee refund
3 days – 6 days before workshop begins: 50% of total workshop fee
Less than 3 days before / Day of the workshop /After the workshop: Full workshop fee forfeited

In the unlikely event of unforeseen exceptional circumstances, Fashion Makerspace reserves the right to change the date of or cancel an event. If that occurs, a refund of any payment made will be offered/given.

 

Fashion Makerspace Pte Ltd reserves the right to make changes to their the class policies without prior notice.
